Newfoundland’s charms, scenic seascapes and warm hospitality are being showcased in a new Monograms tour offered for the first time this year.

Monograms has added the fun Newfoundland driving holiday to its line-up of Canadian tours. The nine-day “Newfoundland, Off the Beaten Track” tour combines the freedom of driving at your own pace with the convenience of a tested itinerary. This includes pre-booked hotels, and the services of a Local Host in St. John’s who is there to help with sightseeing, dining and shopping suggestions – even for those only interested in “twacking” (Newfoundland English for window-shopping).

The itinerary combines four nights in St. John’s, along with the rural charms of the village of Trinity — a popular artists’ haunt — and the grandeur of Terra Nova National Park.

Including accommodation, Host services and a detailed destination guide, the tour is priced from $959 plus airfare. Travellers can bring their own car by ferry to Newfoundland or Monograms has negotiated special rates with Hertz.

Travellers booking a six-night (or more) 2014 North American Monograms vacation can enjoy a free extra night when they book and deposit by March 11. Those booking the Newfoundland tour by March 25 will also receive $75 off the tour price.
