Nexion joins NACTA Canada
Nexion Canada is now a member of the National Association of Career Travel Agents (NACTA), making it the first host agency in Canada this year to add NACTA’s community and professional development services for independent travel consultants to its offerings.
Ann van Leeuwen (pictured), president of NACTA, commented, “Nexion Canada is relatively new to Canada and is one of the most advanced and forward-thinking host agencies. We are delighted that this agency sees the considerable value in NACTA’s many services to its agents across Canada.”
And she continued, “NACTA is expanding in Canada now and, together, Nexion Canada and NACTA represent a fresh, positive, constructive and affordable combo and the only body designed specifically for entrepreneurial agents across the country.”
As Mike Foster (pictured), president of Nexion Canada, explains, “We already provide our agents with all they need to sell and deliver travel profitably and efficiently. NACTA expands travel and social experiences for agents and extends their continuing education.”
He pointed to a number of opportunities NACTA brings to his members including a daily e-mail of business leads, news about destinations and potential partnerships agents can create with their peers throughout North America.
As well, NACTA offers FAMs, seminars aboard higher-end river cruises and at land destinations, other discounted travel, 24/7 webinars, conventions and conferences and Agent Life Canada Magazine distributed by Baxter Travel Media.
Agent Life Canada, available soon in digital form accompanying a popular Baxter travel publication, features travel veteran Mike Foster and Nexion Canada on its cover and in an article.
NACTA will be forming chapters across Canada like the 45 chapters NACTA has across the US. Chapters provide social activities and educational events for members in their areas.
“NACTA’s social, travel and educational activities are filling a gap for independent, career agents across Canada,” van Leeuwen said.
Individual membership for agents is optional for agents working with host agencies such as Nexion Canada and for all independent agents across North America.
