A delegation of Vail Resorts officials paid visits to Montreal and Toronto last week, informing travel industry personnel about what’s new at its collection of US ski resorts, including the Epic Pass. Selling for US$729, the pass gives skiers unlimited, unrestricted access to Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, Arapahoe Basin and Eldora in Colorado, Canyons in Utah and Heavenly, Northstar and Kirkwood in Lake Tahoe in addition to five free days at both Les 3 Vallées, France and Verbier, Switzerland, and five free consecutive days at Arlberg, Austria. The big news for Canadians is new weekly direct Air Canada service from Toronto to Vail beginning Dec. 14 and running through April 5, 2014.
