Tourism officials from Atlantic City dropped by Toronto last night (Sept. 25) during their first-ever dedicated sales mission to Canada, which also includes events in Kingston, Ont., Montreal and Quebec City. The message for agents is clear — Atlantic City is back and has survived last year’s Hurricane Sandy. A new brand campaign, entitled “Do AC” has also been launched. “We’re here to personally tell everyone everything is fine in Atlantic City,” said Heather Colacha of the Atlantic City Convention & Visitors Authority (ACCVA). “It’s actually booming.” Karen Martin of the ACCVA added that a lot of money has been invested in the destination, which offers visitors a lot more than just gaming. “There’s a ton of things to do,” she said. “If you haven’t been in the last five years, it’s time to come back.” Pictured at the event are (l-r) Colacha, Dave Szukics, Resorts Casino, Lisa Duff, Revel, Lisa Witt, Atlantic City representative in Canada, Lisette Paries, Caesars Entertainment and representative in Canada, and Martin.
