KLM Royal Dutch Airlines was an active participant at the third edition of the Toronto Airport Street Festival, which drew some 5,200 visitors. The festival, aimed at communities surrounding Pearson Airport, featured different activities and gave area residents the opportunity to meet airport professionals. KLM brought its own rhythm and entertainment with its energetic band, Night Flight to Rio. The 11-member band features all KLM employees and flew in from Amsterdam to perform Latin, disco, rock and soul hits. The carrier also taxied one of its MD-11s to the site for aircraft lovers and photographers, and visitors had a chance to win prizes, including two KLM tickets from Toronto to Europe.
