Toronto Travellers’ Aid Society volunteers have been helping travellers and local citizens alike since 1903, with many of its volunteers having been with a group that assists visitors to the Ontario capital for over 20 years. Three of its volunteers from Union Station were recognized at a recent Volunteer Service Award Ceremony, receiving certificates signed by Ontario’s minister of citizenship and immigration and the premier of Ontario. Seen in the photo, from l to r, are Robert Meikle, with the society for five years. Rajendra Maharaj, who has 10 years of service. and Alan Rhodes, who’s volunteered at the society for 15 years.
