Turks & Caicos Premier and Tourism Minister Rufus Ewing is inviting two types of Canadians to consider his destination. Ewing told a Toronto reception Wednesday that he wants Canadians to “experience Turks & Caicos as a visitor or experience Turks & Caicos as an investor.” Forty per cent of the destination’s GDP is from tourism, while real estate is also all-important to the economy, he said. “Tourism is our business,” he said but added he welcomes Canadian investment in Turks & Caicos hotels and other areas.
