Indus Travels can treat India-bound clients royally. The company’s Harish Shroff told a Toronto audience Wednesday that Indus clients can stay in “luxury hotels which were actually palaces before.” Hotels offered by the tour operator include Oberoi properties, including one in Agra that “has all the rooms facing the Taj Mahal.” The Oberoi Group’s Samantha Steckbeck in turn told the audience that those staying at the Oberoi property in Agra can have “champagne on the balcony under a full moon overlooking the Taj Mahal.” Seen here are Steckbeck, Shroff and travel industry consultant Coralie Belman.
