Chris Vanden Hooven, Cathay Pacific Airways’ GM of sales for western Canada, shows one of the limited edition prints of a Cathay Pacific Lockheed L1011 that was awarded to top producing travel agents at a recent dinner event in Vancouver. Agencies that achieved $1-million-plus sales for Cathay Pacific were recognized for their work and took home a print, which was painted by a Calgary artist and is one in a series of CX aircraft. The L1011 was a workhorse for CX on Asia domestic routes in the 1970s and ‘80s, said Vanden Hooven.
