Alitours recently hosted a group of Canadian agents, along with front line reservations agent Gisella Mancini and Tony Veca, president, on a fam to The Azores, in collaboration with SATA International Airlines and the Azores Tourist Association. The group visited the islands of San Miguel, Terceira, Faial and Pico. Highlights included Algar do Carvão cave, wine museums and vineyards, Capelinhos (the remains of the last volcanic eruption in the Azores, 1957), and Furnas, where holes surrounding a hot spring lake allow slow-cooked meals “au-natural” by underground vapours. Agents also participated in whale and dolphin watching, as well as hotel/resort and golf course inspections. It is the third such fam that Alitours has hosted this year.
