The good times are seemingly never-ending in Louisiana, reports the River Parishes Tourist Commission’s (New Orleans Plantation Country) tourism sales manager. “I graduated from high school and didn’t realize the rest of the country doesn’t close on Tuesday,” Kimmie Carlos said of a state that sees widespread celebrations of Mardi Gras. Maria Manzella of the New Orleans Convention & Visitors Bureau in turn praised her city for being a “fun city. We are creative. We are romantic. There’s an energy in the city.” Seen here during a Toronto industry luncheon (l-r) are Ben Berthelot, Lafayette Convention and Visitors Commission. Carlos. Manzella.
