A delegation of tourism officials from Curacao paid a visit to Toronto this week to promote all things Curacao. One clear message that came across is that the Dutch Caribbean island is much more than sun, sand and sea. The diversity of activities available to visitors is abundant, including history, heritage and culture, festivals and special events and a large variety of fine cuisine options. Getting there is easy as well, with the recent launch of direct service from Toronto with WestJet. Pictured at a Toronto luncheon are (l-r) Milos Mercera, Lizanne Dindial (both of the island’s hotel association), and Chandra Smouse and Andre Rojer (both of the Curacao Tourist Board).
