It was a high-powered affair at a towering event in the Bahamas this week as Sandals Resorts International (SRI) unveiled its new Balmoral Tower at the Sandals Royal Bahamian Spa Resort & Offshore Island in Nassau, the Bahamas. Minister of Tourism & Aviation, Vincent Vanderpool-Wallace. and president of the Bahamas Hotel Association, Stuart Bowe. Along with a tour of the Balmoral Tower, guests attending the event enjoyed ’High Tea,’ where they learned about the regal history of the building — including details on the Balmoral Club — the vacation home to Prince Edward VIII and Wallis Simpson. the resort’s private offshore island that served as the location for the Beatles music video, “Help.” In his address to those attending the event, Sandals Resorts Chairman, Gordon ’Butch’ Stewart (pictured here) shared details on Sandals Royal Bahamian’s latest update and why he continues to invest in his product to consistently create an experience that exceeds guests’ expectations. The new Balmoral Tower accommodations have been completely renovated and now feature solid mahogany furnishings, plasma TVs, and luxurious bathroom amenities with soaking tubs and his and her vanities. The most impressive addition to the resort accommodations is the addition of 35 balconies to beachfront rooms and suites in the Balmoral Tower, offering direct ocean views. Additionally, the 11 new Bahamian Beachfront Walkout Suites allow guests to walk directly from private patios onto the pool deck, complete with newly-opened romantic lounge areas featuring fire pits, which are already a huge hit with guests.
