ADAMO NEW TRANSAT DISTRIBUTION GM

Transat A.T. Inc. has announced the appointment of Joseph Adamo as general manager of Transat Distribution Canada (TDC). Effective immediately, Adamo will add his new duties to those of his current position as vice-president, Marketing and Web Commercialization for TTC, managing all Canadian marketing operations for the Air Transat, Transat Holidays and Nolitours brands. Adamo succeeds Yves Lalumière, who will leave the organization in mid-August to join the team of Tourisme Montréal, where he has been named president and chief executive officer. Adamo has more than 25 years of sales, marketing and customer service experience. Before joining the TTC team, he held key positions in large corporations and advertising agencies, among them Marketel/McCann-Erickson Ltd., TELUS Mobility, Bell Canada and the Yellow Pages Group. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree, as well as an MBA from McGill University.
