Boomerang Tours has unveiled its 2013-14 “Australia and New Zealand”program with the launch of a new brochure offering just about everything clients may want to see “Down Under”and including a number of new additions. In Australia, there’s a new “Sydney and Farm Stay”small group tour where participants meet in Sydney and then leave city life behind as they travel into the mountains of Collah Tops National Park, staying overnight at a local farm. There’s also a new Sydney to Canberra self-drive that showcases both cities, as well as the Snowy Mountains, the village of Thredbo near Mount Kosciuszko, returning via the country’s scenic east coast, and an “Icons of Victoria”self-drive that features the Yarra Valley, Mornington Peninsula, Phillip Island, the Great Ocean Road, and more, along with admission to and dinner at Sovereign Hill where visitors can see Blood on the Southern Cross, a spectacular nightly show that retells the story of the Eureka Rebellion. In New Zealand, Boomerang is offering three new scenic rail journeys, including the famous TransAlpine crossing from Christchurch to Greymouth, and three new “Signature Walks,”including the famous Hollyford Track near Milford Sound, a three-day hike out of Queenstown. There’s also a new “Rotorua and Hobbiton”tour that is a great choice for Tolkien fans – visit Hobbit Holes, Green Dragon Inn, the Mill and other structures created for the films.
