GROUPS PLUS: Sunwing releases 2013-14 guide
Sunwing has released its new 2013/2014 Groups Guide, featuring many new offers as well as the return of other popular products and incentives. The tour operator has partnered with more than 200 hotels and resorts and continues to offer its popular Groups Plus program, which simplifies an agent’s search process by standardizing the group offer at each of these hotels. Perks of the program include: the 11th adult passenger travels free, a complimentary room upgrade for the group leader, a welcome cocktail reception, a private group check-in, guest rooms for the group located together or in same area of hotel, a group dinner reservation, and spa discounts for each group member at select hotels. In addition, travellers receive other exclusive services with Sunwing Airlines, including complimentary group block seating, additional excess baggage allowance, and a dedicated group check-in departing from Canada. The Groups Plus offer is applicable for bookings made by Oct. 15 for travel between Dec. 22 and Oct. 31, 2014. New this year is the Groups Plus Weddings program, which makes the resort selection process easier for couples planning a destination wedding. The program includes all the features of Groups Plus, as well as additional inclusions such as: a 10% discount on wedding planning services, a complimentary upgrade for the bride and groom to Elite Plus on Sunwing Airlines (subject to availability), complimentary access to the Plaza Premium Lounge for the bride and groom at applicable airports in Canada, a complimentary pre-booked destination excursion for the bride and groom, and a $500 anniversary travel credit for the bride and groom with a minimum 10 room wedding booking. To qualify, destination wedding group bookings must be made by July 23 for travel between Nov. 1 and May 31, 2014. Those booking a wedding group at RIU Hotels & Resorts can enjoy the added advantage of complimentary Diamond Wedding Planning Services, which includes five hours of consultation with a Canadian-based wedding planner. Travellers can also enjoy a variety of other benefits when making a group booking. These include a price guarantee and a one-time price adjustment up to 60 days prior to departure, a complimentary upgrade for the group leader to Elite Plus on Sunwing Airlines, discounted destination excursions, and more.
