Liberia airport reopens early; flights resume

The Daniel Oduber Quiros International Airport (LIR) in Liberia, Costa Rica has resumed full operations as of 9 a.m. local time on Nov. 20, following the successful completion of runway maintenance.

This is ahead of previous re-opening expectations, which were expected for Nov. 21.

Passengers affected are urged to check flight schedules with their airline directly for the most current updates.

WestJet is currently offering a $0 one-time fee waiver for changes or cancellations on all WestJet flight-only bookings for travel between Nov 18th – Nov 21, 2024, valid on all fares, including UltraBasic. For more information, click here.
