BermudAir appoints Nico Buchholz as president
BermudAir has appointed Nico Buchholz president of the company as of August where he will also serve as deputy CEO.
Buchholz is well known as a global leader in the aviation industry, bringing more than 30 years of experience and expertise as an accomplished aerospace C-suite executive from firms across North America and Europe.

Buchholz’s experience covers a deep understanding of the total aviation value chain. His skillset comprises areas such as technical developments for new aviation products, as well as network planning, operations, technical customer support, contract negotiations, strategy, communications, sales & marketing and procurement. He is recognized for providing an unbiased analytical approach to initiatives while engaging and mobilizing global operational teams.
Born in Hamburg, Germany, Mr. Buchholz began his aviation career at Airbus in Toulouse in product marketing and sales. He later moved to the engine manufacturer Rolls-Royce Deutschland, handling all commercial activities as well as customer support and communication for civil and military products. This was followed by running the entire fleet management for all airlines in the Lufthansa Group. As Executive Vice President and Lufthansa’s aircraft buyer, he shaped the development of the Group’s fleets for 15 years. He subsequently held various leadership positions and global assignments within a portfolio of diverse airlines, lessors and OEMs.
Being at the forefront of innovative fleet restructuring, modernization and environmental impact initiatives throughout his career, he has led sales, purchasing and leasing deals for more than 1,000 aircraft. Buchholz has also advised manufacturers on cutting-edge developments in engine technology.
