Canadian North expands agreement with Sabre

Sabre Corporation has announced an agreement with Canadian North, a 100% Inuit-owned Canadian airline, to extend its SabreSonic Passenger Service System (PSS) contract and add two new solutions designed to help increasing sales conversions and improve revenue forecasts.

SabreSonic is a robust PSS used by many airlines around the globe and helps Canadian North continue to evolve and enhance its customer experience and capture additional revenue opportunities.

Claudio Silvestri, Chief Information Officer, Canadian North, said: “Canadian North and Sabre are long term business partners. Throughout the years Sabre has supported Canadian North’s ambitions to grow in a strategic way by increasing efficiencies using technology solutions, while making life better in the communities we serve.”

In addition to SabreSonic PSS, the carrier is adopting the following airline IT solutions:

  • Travel Bank provides airlines with a flexible way to manage payments for tickets and ancillaries while also controlling costs and offering a better customer experience.
  • Revenue Integrity is an automated solution that identifies and removes unproductive or fraudulent bookings from an airline’s inventory and returns seats that can then be resold to paying customers.

Darren Rickey, Senior Vice President Airline Sales and Account Management, Sabre Travel Solutions, explained:  “SabreSonic helps provide robust foundation for Canadian North’s ticketing, automation, revenue generation and ability to add ancillaries seamlessly. The partnership indicates a strong relationship built on positive results and continuity that benefits Canadian North customers.”
