SATA Azores Airlines starts Toronto-Porto flights

Direct connections from the United States and Canada and the city of Porto started, with a sequence of inaugural flights that connected the cities of New York, Boston, Toronto to Porto.

“This direct air operation reinforces the offer of flights departing from Porto and North America, destinations to which Azores Airlines has been flying for more than two decades and where it has consistently grown,” said Graça Silva, director of sales, marketing and communication at SATA Group. “We believe that the city of Porto and the entire Northern Region have uniquely attractive arguments for the tourist segment, but equally important for the business and friends & relatives’ segments.”

Weekly Porto flights from Toronto

With this direct operation promoted by Azores Airlines, the North Region, and particularly the city of Porto, are now closer to the iconic cities of Boston, New York and Toronto, important business centers and of air traffic confluences.

Direct air operations between New York to Porto take place on Sundays; in the opposite direction, Porto to New York flights are carried out on Thursdays. On the Boston to Porto route, flights depart from Boston on Wednesdays and from Porto, on Tuesdays.

Finally, regarding Porto to Toronto route, flights from Porto take place on Saturdays while Toronto to Porto takes place on Fridays.

In addition to these direct flights to and from Porto, the usual Azores Airlines offer remains, which comprises 24 weekly connections to the Azores Archipelago (Ponta Delgada and Terceira) and connectivity possibilities, via Ponta Delgada, to Boston, New York, Cape Verde (Praia), Toronto and Montreal.

In addition to these options, the possibility of taking advantage of StopOver Azores, a program that allows a stay upon seven days, in the Azores Archipelago.
