PLAY Launching Hamilton-Frankfurt Flights

PLAY has launched ticket sales for flights from Hamilton to Frankfurt, with service beginning Dec. 14. The low-cost carrier will operate its flights four to five times a week through the winter.

The Iceland-based carrier – with its hub at Keflavik Airport – is celebrating its first Hamilton to Frankfurt flight with a limited-time flight sale, with fares starting from $259 exclusive of taxes and fees. The sale started on July 27, 2023 and ends at 11:59 p.m. EST on Aug. 10, 2023.

Canadians will be able to book the discounted fare for travel dates between January to March 2024.

Birgir Jónsson, CEO, PLAY, said: “We are delighted to be able to add more destinations to our transatlantic route network at a time when demand in North America for flights to Europe is high.”

Jónsson continued: “Revenues from passengers coming from North America are much higher than before, making it a great time to add Frankfurt as a destination. With ten aircraft in our fleet, which is now the youngest and most modern fleet in Europe, we are in a great position to expand our route network and to keep offering competitive prices to passengers.”
