Metropolitan Hotels has announced that Joe Dias has been appointed general manager of Metropolitan Hotel Vancouver. Dias brings more than 17 years of tourism and hospitality experience to the job. As GM, he will see to the continued elevation in guest satisfaction and hotel performance. In addition to managing the hotel business, Dias will oversee the management of the hotel’s award-winning Diva at the Met restaurant. Dias’ background includes a notable history in hotel finance, working his way through the ranks from Assistant Controller, Director of Finance and Regional Controller before taking on the General Manager role. Prior to joining Metropolitan Hotels, he worked as the general manager at Hotel Le Soleil in Vancouver, BC. He has also held significant positions with Crowne Plaza, O’Neill Hotels and Resorts, and Delta Hotels.
