Join Playa On Its First Ever FAM But Not Really A FAM

Playa Hotels & Resorts is inviting travel advisors on a fam, that’s not really a fam.

Wait, what?

The Playa Resorts Canadian Sales team is inviting industry personnel to join them on vacation for three nights — with a plus one — at the Yucatan Resort Tapestry Collection by Hilton.

“We first came up with this idea because we received so many comments from Travel Agents who have been on a Playa FAM in the past who have jokingly requested a FAM Reunion, so we took that idea and ran with it,” Amanda Morris, Director of Sales Canada, Playa Hotels & Resorts, tells PressToday. “Typically, our FAMS are for Travel Agents only, but given this isn’t really a FAM, we decided to open it up to anyone in the travel industry along with their adult family and friends. How amazing to spend a few days together for a fun-filled weekend in beautiful Playa del Carmen and to experience Playa Resorts famous Service from the Heart.”

From June 22-25, agents and other industry types can experience the all inclusive resort in Playa del Carmen for a rate of US$75 per person, per night for double occupancy.

“We thought that the perfect property for our inaugural ‘FAM but not really a FAM’ would be the Yucatan Resort Tapestry Collection by Hilton in Playa del Carmen,” Morris said. “The Yucatan Resort is a fabulous adults-only boutique — 60 room — adults-only all-inclusive property with the most amazing location on 5th Avenue. We wanted to highlight this fantastic property that is a perfect option for long weekend getaways.”
