TICO Launches Video Series To Support Recruitment
For travel agencies and tour operators, labour shortages continue to be a significant challenge as the travel industry moves through the pandemic recovery process.
And as new sellers enter the industry, it’s essential that all travel counsellors understand their obligations under the consumer protection laws administered by TICO, starting with certification.
Becoming TICO-certified is the first step towards a career in travel sales in Ontario and to that end, TICO is launching a new informational video series for individuals considering this career path.
The series includes four videos that speak to TICO certification, along with a strong focus on professionalism and consumer protection.

TICO also suggests that as Ontario travel agencies and tour operators work to recruit new talent they consider sharing the video series as part of their recruitment process.
