Starting in the expansive lobby, guests are welcomed by the revamped Hix Bar & Lobby Lounge. What was already a vibrant gathering space is now an even brighter and more dynamic focal point. The new design was inspired by the abundant nature surrounding the resort and the mangroves predominant in the area. Hix’s menu has also been given a refresh–think stellar sushi alongside equally covetable cocktails specially designed for Hix.
Next up is Tauro Steakhouse, an elegant space with a timeless feel conducive to lingering over an expertly-mixed cocktail. Dishes combine local Mexican ingredients with classic steakhouse techniques and recipes making for a flavour-packed culinary combination.
Diners can expect chefs to source the best cuts of meat and seasonal vegetables to create rich and flavourful dishes. The upscale menu is varied yet refined, offering something for everyone, whether you’re in the mood for a hearty salad, ultra-rich burger or tuna tartare. Steak is the star here, however with many prime cuts available, as well as various sauces and side dishes to choose from to round out your dish.
Tauro also features their very own in-house dry-aging program ensuring flavour and quality always come first. In addition, guests can look forward to the raw bar (don’t miss the oysters or Mexican lobster) and a martini bar serving up a menu of sophisticated beverages that pair perfectly with an indulgent cut of steak.
