ACV Enhances Self-Service Tools

Air Canada Vacations is enhancing its self-service tools, in order to make it easier for travel agents to help their customers.

For the first time, travel agents can access reservations made online and in the call centre for bookings in Mexico, the Caribbean, Las Vegas, Hawaii, California and Orlando.

As well, future travel credits can be applied as payment for all bookings made online for these destinations. The new improvements also include the ability to add a customer’s Aeroplan number to an existing reservation, as well as make special requests for traveller accommodations.

The extra tools, along with those launched in late 2021, can be accessed through Air Canada Vacations’ website and all external distribution channels, including Sirev, Galileo Vacations, and Sabre Vacations.

Moreover, customers will now have the ability to access their reservations directly online and modify certain elements of their booking via the Manage Your Booking page on www.aircanadavacations.com .

To help travel agents get comfortable with its new enhancements, Air Canada Vacations is hosting a webinar for the trade. Participants will be entered into a draw for a chance to win a $250 Future Travel Credit. Register here.

Nino Montagnese, vice president, Air Canada Vacations, said: “We know the workload that comes with managing a reservation right now, so we’re looking for ways to help alleviate some of that pressure off our trade partners. To mitigate the volume of requests agencies are getting after hours, we’re making reservations more accessible to travellers. We’re always trying to do better for our industry, and all these new capabilities come from the feedback that the trade has given us.”
