Summer in HK Means It’s Time to Shop, Eat, Play
The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) reports the city is gearing up for a summer of fun, with unique opportunities to shop, eat and play.
And the play component includes the largest ever local e-sports extravaganza — the ICBC (Asia) e-Sports & Music Festival Hong Kong, organized by the HKTB, which will be staged from Aug. 24-26 in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
This year, the festival will feature three top international e-sports tournaments: the acclaimed “Return of the Legends 2018” and two new tournaments – the “ZOTAC CUP MASTERS CS:GO 2018 Grand Finals” and the “Hong Kong PUBG World Invitational.”
The tournaments will feature more than 110 players from all over the world who will compete for the highest prize pool in Hong Kong’s e-sports history.
In addition to the adrenaline-pumping e-sports tournaments, there will be an Experience Zone, showcasing the latest e-sports-related products and featuring game displays, VR experience, mobile game trials, KOL stages, and music performances. Here visitors can enjoy fascinating activities and experience game products first-hand.
The HKTB is also partnering with the CHKCI (Chamber of Hong Kong Computer Industry) to provide a special ticket promotion with the Hong Kong Computer & Communications Festival. Visitors can enjoy a special ticket price to enter the two events.

Attending the e-sports events is not the only way to enjoy summer in the city. All over Hong Kong there will be unique opportunities to shop, eat and play to ensure that a summer visit is an unforgettable experience. For shoppers there’s a wide variety of special places for designer and vintage fashion, leather goods, hip luggage, games, electronics, a variety of lifestyle items and so much more.

At the Fringe Club there are comedy shows and art performances. It’s also possible to go electronic go-karting or to take part in a unique Dialogue in the Dark experience.
