A Reminder From TICO
TICO is reminding all registrants that it will be holding an election for one position on its Board of Directors. The position is open to a retail, wholesale or marketing group registrant for a three-year term.
All registrants have been sent a nominations package. Nominations must be received at TICO no later than 5 pm Eastern Time on Fri., April 20, 2018.
And TICO would also like to remind those wishing to run for election to allow sufficient time to obtain the required Criminal Record Check, which must be submitted with the Nomination Form by the deadline date. Please visit the TICO website for a copy of the full Nominations package.
Ballots will then be sent to Member Registrants and the results will be announced at TICOs Annual General Meeting, which will be held on Tuesday June 26, 2018 at 5:00 pm at the Corporate Event Centre, 5110 Creekbank Rd., Mississauga, Ontario.
Richard Smart, TICO president and CEO, observed that: “Now that Bill 166, The Strengthening Protection for Consumers Act has received Royal Assent, there will be an extensive review of Ontario Regulation 26/05. This brings an exciting time to join TICOs dynamic Board of Directors to help shape consumer protection within the travel sector, while ensuring industry needs are addressed.”
