Recognizing your Favourites
With just a few weeks left to vote for your favourites in the 19th annual Agents’ Choice Readership Survey, Baxter Media anticipates that it will surpass last year’s participation of more than 5,700 travel agents.
No other travel industry readership survey can claim such a rigorous voting process or as high a return of travel agent participation.
Aside from agents selecting their first, second and third choices in 41 categories, they’ve also contributed some great anecdotes about some of the client requests they’ve received over the years.
Kathy Hall recalled a client who asked if her hedgehog was allowed to accompany her on her trip, while Lynne Dixon told of a customer who needed to be guaranteed a “sloth sighting.”
Not surprisingly, both travel agents followed through and kept their promises.
Now that’s great customer service.
Speaking of service with a smile, Agents’ Choice also asks agents to name their favourite customer service rep.
Last year, more than 20 front-liners were honoured from across Canada and this year promises to be even more exciting as they will be recognized at the Agents’ Choice Awards Gala.
Achievement of a Lifetime
2018 is a milestone year for Canadian Travel Press as it celebrates 50 years of excellence in news and editorial coverage for Canada’s travel industry.
What better time to re-introduce the W.H. Baxter Lifetime Achievement Award named after CTP’s founder whose entrepreneurial spirit, foresight and leadership qualities, contributed to the success and status of the travel industry in Canada today.

The 2018 national and regional results, along with in-depth coverage and analysis, will be revealed in the annual Agents’ Choice issue available June 15 to readers of Canadian Travel Press, Travel Courier and Press Today.
Attendees at the Agents’ Choice Awards Gala will be the first to receive their copies and, of course, the first to hear the results.
