Air Algerie Plane Crashes
An Air Algerie flight carrying 110 passengers and six crew members has crashed, reportedly in Niger, after disappearing from radar early this morning.
The plane was on a flight from Burkina Faso to Algiers. It’s reported that the MD-83 disappeared from radar over northern Mali after heavy rains were reported.
According to reports, air navigation services lost track of the plane about 50 minutes after takeoff from Ougadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso. Early reports also indicate that six Canadians were on board the flight.
