This year’s Aloha Festivals pays tribute to traditional Hawaiian ocean voyaging with its theme, “Moana Nui Ākea - Celebrate Ocean Voyaging.” Now in its 67th year as one of Hawaii’s most highly regarded and oldest cultural celebrations, the 2013 Aloha Festivals takes place from Sept. 12 to 28 at various locations on Oahu, sharing the history and traditions of Hawaii and the unique spirit of aloha with both kama āina (local residents) and malihini (visitors).

The Kings’ Course golf course, located within the Waikoloa Beach Resort on the Big Island, will host Waikoloa Family Golf Days during the summer months of May through August. The acclaimed Prince Course at Princeville Golf Club, on Kauai’s north shore, has introduced a new six-hole Par 3 course dubbed the “Mini Prince,” which opened on April 1. The Mini Prince is carved out of the Prince Clubhouse’s practice facility, which has always included practice greens and bunkers. The existing practice greens have been enhanced and expanded into six complete par 3 holes, serving double duty as part of the driving range earlier in the day, then morphing into a six-hole course in late afternoon.
